What readers are saying:

AAAC is now the "Sartorial Continuum"

I have found no place that gives a more honest, accurate, thoughtful, empathetic, and artistic input on fashion, style, and standard than this forum.
I have never read a forum that shares so much respect and politeness between members of such a diverse union.
A combination of British standard, tradition, and taste brouged with fearless American flare and fashion forwardness.
I am widely known for my marketing genius (not my fashion) and I have been pondering formal names for this forum. Names that the outside world may call the forum with respect.
The two I have come up with are CoFS, Council of Fashion & Standards, and the Sartorial Continuum.
I have decided on the latter, for it has a greater esoteric, stylish, and borderline pretentious ring to it.
Yes, I was inspired by the omnipotent "Q".  --  Captain R., Pensacola, Florida USA

I enjoy your forums! I stumbled upon the site when I was doing a Google search for a suit brand that was unfamiliar to me. Your forum provided a wealth of information, and I have learned a lot.  Please keep up the good work.  -- TX

Thank all of you for the wealth of knowledge and expertise you have shared through this forum. It has been a gold mine for sartorial know-how and inspiration and I am truly grateful for this. I also appreciate the camaraderie and community spirit which exists throughout these fora. -- A. P., Quebec City, QC, Canada

I've never had a place to exchange thoughts and pick up pearls of wisdom until I found your fine site! -- RRA, PA

The site is a great help and the Forums offer fantastic advice from guys who are willing to share their knowledge.  -- E. D.,  Spain

Only you guys understand me! Ever since I came into this site some months ago, it’s really improved my sense of fashion. The vast majority of advice I’ve gotten here is great. On most forums, the advice is worth what you’ve paid for it.

Over here, I don’t think I’ve received bum advice yet. Also, I’ve found this site is great for is asking very detailed, obscure, and specific questions about clothing, style, and fashions that would just get a blank stare from most other people. For a detailed oriented person who takes pride in his clothing and look, this resource has moved me up a level from good to great. --Starting Forum Member

I find your forum and website excellent. The quality of the participants is beyond compare. Where else could one find the educated and erudite tone, the genuine passion for all matters sartorial with the gentlemanly and welcoming atmosphere? A forum populated by a wild cross section ranging from renowned tailors, a famous shirt maker, and the like, all the way to us Ordinary Joes?

I make visiting your forum a daily ritual. Aside from the tremendous amounts of useful information, I find it most refreshing to just enjoy the quality of the posts. I feel that, like so many other things, the art of writing has gone down precipitously....your forum being a most welcome respite from the everyday standards.

I suppose I could summarize my feelings by saying that it feels great to know that there are many wonderful people who still care about excellence in all areas of their lives. They gather at AAAC! -- A. E., Cayman Islands

Here is a feature about me and this website from The South Bay Daily Breeze (OK, it's one of the local papers near where I live!! but it was picked up by a dozen other newspapers).

Magazine

The Medium -- Stet
THIS WEEK’S RECOMMENDATIONS

KNOW-IT-ALLS:

AskAndyAboutClothes.com is a revelation. Men think about clothes with fire and intensity and all day long. They discuss limited-edition sneakers and custom-made loafers.

They discuss T-shirt makers and pocket squares and how those squares should never match ties (exactly, that is; they can match a minor color in a patterned tie). If you’re looking for ardor and surprise idioms from a board, look no longer.

Esquire Fashion Editor, Nick Sullivan says about this site:  "One respected Web forum, AskAndyAboutClothes.com, claims more than 14,000 sartorial minded members from around the globe - some of them experts looking to buy spats in Wisconsin, some just guys looking for tips of removing beer stains from their favorite Hermes tie...."

PLAYBOY  Magazine recommends this website!:
"... It's chock-full of recommendation, resources, store info and sartorial history."

Here is a recent testimonial about THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MEN'S CLOTHES:

"I received The Encyclopedia of Men's Clothes this afternoon, Andy, and it's terrifically useful! Thank you for explaining how to access the various disk components--your instructions helped me to quickly navigate the book.

I particularly like your logical, straightforward approach to each section. I mean to say, it really makes sense to explain why something matters, then how to care for it once you've chosen to incorporate the thing into your life, and then to include a history of the item, which focuses the reader's attention on its intrinsic value to a gentleman's kit.

Your book is more useful than Esquire's Encyclopedia of 20th-Century Men's Fashions, because the latter serves as a chronicle not a guide. The Encyclopedia of Men's Clothes provides a road map for fellows who wish to understand the choices they make, and who wish to make choices they understand. I am simply delighted with your book!"
