Default Patent leather Oxfords in Oxford

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could find a pair of patent leather balmorals or similar in Oxford for around £100.
    Thanks in advance.

Really? Nothing? I had a look today and Shepherd and Woodward carry a pair with a cap that are far too small for anyone with more than three toes and Walters have derbies, which I don't really like. Any suggestions?

I was in Oxford at the beginning of the month to visit my brother in law who teaches there. There was a shoe store in the covered market (I think that was in the name, basically it was an arcade/indoor mall - there was a shoe shop in there with tons of alfred sargent shoes on sale for I believe GBP 100. I dont recall if they had patent leather but I believe I saw balmorals. I could be wrong - I was all shoed out from my trip to Northampton the previous day so I didnt give them a very close inspection.

I bought a pair of Barker patent Oxfords in Jones. They were on sale at £80 but I think they're ~£130 at full price. There's a Jones' on Queen Street (or at least there was when I was there). The covered market used to have a few places that did good shoes, though I've never looked for patents there.

I checked Jones and the Covered Market, but neither had any. On the advice of Mr Dinsmore at E&R I visited Ducker & Son on Turl street. The very nice proprietor produced a beautiful pair of patent balmorals made by Ducker. Twice my budget, but hey, you only live once.

Sorry, I did drop into Duckers but they were definitely above GBP 100

    Nice looking shoes though!

M&S. I kid you not. Then get some silk laces by mail order from Cleverley's. By phoning them up and asking for mail order.

Picked them up on Thursday, they had their first outing last night and here's a photo for your delectation.

The current M&S ones are actually really good, no toe cap, leather soles and proper shape.

It was Christ Church guest dinner, which is held twice a term. Yesterday was the Union ball, which was good, and tonight is the Mansfield College ball (the only college ball in Michaelmas). After that it'll just be a few dinners for the rest of term.
