    Tim,
Is it just me or has the quality of the posts and posters on AA really gone down over the past several weeks? Hope you are doing well and I always enjoy your perspective and comments.

Sorry I never answered. I really miss folks like Dr. Peter, Fading Fast, and Flanderian. I am so glad Eagle has returned. I have also noticed a number of new posters asking ridiculous questions that. Lastly, I have noticed some horribly offensive traffic, including some from a member who has been around awhile. Thankfully, Tiger is pretty good at policing the jerks.

    Hullo Tim,

You asked about Eagle in a recent post. I was wondering the same thing -- I had written a private message to him some time ago, but received no answer. So I checked with Andy and he said Eagle has had some serious health issues he is dealing with - hence his absence. I will wait for a while then send him another message and see if he replies. Kindly keep this confidential.

    Cheers,

    Peter

    Tim,
I was in Asheville yesterday checking on renovations in our new retirement community duplex and stopped by Hunter and Coggins to visit with Jim for a few minutes. Had not been in the store in a while but it was nice to see him and talk for a bit. Looking forward to being in Asheville full time sometime in late April.
    Cheers, Tom

Took your advice. Found the pan and SOS pad(ed) the heck out of it. Put veg. oil all over the pan and after wiping it off lightly covered it in some of the same paper towels that I used to oil it.

Will give it another chance tomorrow. Forgot to mention that I used it once, and then the second time I used it to cook a steak on the range at high heat and the pan burst into flames! 🔥🧯 And then it rusted!

Very best of luck! If you just use it with a bit of oil, fat, or butter, soak it in water (no soap) after use, scrub it with a nylon scrubby or chain mail scrubber, rinse it, and dry it on a burner it will just get better. I got stymied by the 420 character limit. Email is tirvine49@gmail.com

But getting back to Dunhills . . . I was introduced to them by a fellow enlisted man back in the early 70's. He was from a very well-to-do family. How well-to-do? He bought his wife an orange sports car for Halloween!

Anyway, he'd buy Dunhills by the box and leave it open on his desk. We were invited to help ourselves. Good smokes? man

That is over the top! I’d think it was a big deal just to have the cigars without the orange car!

I don't approve of work. If you can't make money at a hobby, screw it.
