What are you actually wearing these days?

To be blunt, I do so envy you, but paraphrasing the wicked Witch speaking to Dorthy in that iconic film "The Wizard of Oz"..."we're not in Kansas any more" and it just isn't practical to wear suits and ties when the temps are in the high 80's and the humidity is 90+%. LOL. ;)

    On hemming trousers

A very interesting series of videos incorporated within the referenced article. I suspect if I had not been spoiled rotten by Mrs Eagle, like so many others herein, I would benefit greatly from watching those videos, but for now, I will rely on SWMBO to serve as the Betsy Ross of the Eagles...

    It's TWEED Season!

Nice rig....except for, perhaps, the tie and out of respect for the poster, I won't mention the pocket square....but if I did it would be something along the lines that pocket squares should be reserved for suits......formal suits and for Tweeds, if you feel you must stuff something in that...

Do we need a salad thread or maybe just a healthier eating thread?

I am not normally a fan of Tofu, but the concoction you describe sounds pretty tempting! ;)

    Everything Dessert Related

Guinness is good, Ice cream with chocolate fudge iced brownies are good, as well; but together, I must admit I have my reservations! ;)

What are you listening to right now?

This afternoon's entertainment is provided by The Temptations signing "Ain't To Proud To Beg," followed by "My Girl" from their Number 1s album! ;)

Made in USA V-Neck Undershirts. Where to find them?

Mike, let me take this opportunity to tell you how saddened I was to hear that you will be closing out your Ribbed Tee enterprise. In my opinion Ribbed Tees are arguably the best Tee's out there and frankly I'm not sure how I will replace them once your doors are closed. LOL, when I first...

    More from Ralph

PRL Coffee...now that's a Ralph product I could 'sink my teeth into.' Perhaps I should come up with another phrase to express myself, as that would be a strong cup of Joe! LOL. ;)

Cool '50s Illustrations from Ivy's Heyday

That corduroy Eisenhower Jacket is an absolute winner. Wish they were still sold these days, but alas, they are not! Thanks for sharing this with us. ;)

I know milk glass can be had in red, white and blue...is green also an option and are those counter adornments even milk glass? In any event, I'll continue to take my morning Joe in my Yeti mug...it keeps it piping hot! ;)

    Thrift store blues & brags

Thank you for sharing that very interesting read with us. I certainly cannot argue with the authors conclusion that the hue, Air Force blue is not as versatile as a suit color as are navy and various shades of gray, but I did have a navy blazer, with buttons harvested from one of my old uniform...

Khaki Trousers in Civilian Life Between 1898 & 1939

+1. I can't help but wonder what a vintage pair of those "Can't Bust-Em" chinos would cost today. Vintage pairs of Levis have sold for $2000+. ;)
