    Estate Sale Find: Vintage Florsheims

Check out these Florsheims I picked up at an Estate Sale! I have never seen any like them, they are green, woven, and made in Italy. I'm wondering how old they are and if they're worth anything. Do any of you have any insight into the history of these? I think they could be an uncommon find.

Where do ebay sellers get their goods?

I'm a full time student that's turned thrifting into a part-time job. I scan every thrift store around every week, and I usually have at least a few pairs of Allen Edmonds, Aldens and vintage J&Ms and Florsheim Imperials for sale. I even scored some Crockett & Jones oxfords...although I am sure...

    Mystery Wingtips...please help!

They're looking even better after a few days of TLC, but is there anything else I can do to try to determine their maker?

    Mystery Wingtips...please help!

I bought them and they went right into some cedars. Think a saddle soap treatment and good polish would liven them up?

    Mystery Wingtips...please help!

I found a pair of wingtips today that I really like, but I cannot tell who made them. They appear to have leather insoles and outsoles with a cork filling. I believe the leather is full grain (please correct me if I'm wrong. The heel is marked either "jb" or maybe "ib", but I'm not convinced...

Allen Edmonds New Website-- E-commerce Portal and AE Man Stories

As someone in the "younger consumer demographic" at age 21, I would offer this advice to Allen Edmonds. Many people I know wear disposable Florsheims and Johnston & Murphys because they don't realize the economic sense behind investing in quality. This is not because of an insistence on poor...

    The Philosophy of the Gun

The argument for gun control often begins with, "Our founding fathers could never have imagined AK-47s and M-16s and Glocks." If technological advances are adequate excuses to alter the Constitution, imagine that argument's effect on free speech! Could the founding fathers have imagined that...

    Pearl Snap Shirts

" I'd wear them in AZ but they'd look odd in DC." Luckily I'm in Az! I find most of my clothes at thrift stores, so I've scored several that are USA made with some quality. My wife always says they look good...so that must count for something!

    Pearl Snap Shirts

I find that Western Cut pearl-snap shirts complement my frame better than almost anything thing else off-the-rack. However, I am not a Cowboy and don't want people to think (Oh, Cowboy) as a first impression. I usually wear them with dark-washed jeans or corduroys with either zip-down boots...

    Who made these shoes???

I think they were sold by Gieves and Hawkes...but best I can tell, they don't make shoes. From what I could find, they have licensed their name to many different high-quality English shoemakers, possibly Crockett & Jones or Cheaney. Anyone have any further info?

    Who made these shoes???

To preface my post, I am brand new to the forum and I supplement my income reselling quality men's clothes (mostly shoes). I recently bought a pair of shoes on the cheap because they look well-made, but I can't identify the manufacturer. The first two letters of the manufacturer are "Gh" and the...
