    Six or less--I dare you.

The six item limit as given in the experiment does not include shoes, undergarments, accessories, uniforms and outerwear. I think it also does not include multiples of the same item (five white OCBDs would be one item). And you wear them for one full month. Full details at

    The new Spiderman....

[Pedantic nerd mode ACTIVATED] It's two words, hyphenated, both capitalized: Spider-Man. Also I vote that a superhero is a fictional heroic figure with extraordinary abilities and a distinctive appearance when in hero mode (either a costume/suit or some other physical change like the Hulk or...

    No tie, officer? That's a write-up

Actually they weren't testifying. They were merely observing the judgment verdict of someone they helped put away. They were not there in any official capacity. Nevertheless...

    Knit Tie Color Options

Navy blue gets the most use in my closet, followed by burgundy. I never wear my yellow and can't imagine pink. To me, the knit tie goes with sweaters and tweed and fall. YMMV of course.

What does your state/provence/country say on it's license plate?

I always thought that was a strange thing to brag about. "A lot of people drive through here on their way to somewhere else."

    A Pocket Square Thread

I don't see this as tongue-in-cheek. Maybe I'm just missing the joke, but I interpret it as "not bad, but would look better with a pocket square."

    Cornbread or roll?

What does this thread title have to do with the content? Is this another Britishism or trad fashion term I don't know?

    Seersucker for Graduation

+1 to the "hell yes." I'm graduating from law school in three years, and I am already planning to buy a seersucker suit and white bucks to wear to graduation.

    Match cuff links to necktie?

I don't think it's wrong per se, but I wouldn't do it for the same reason I wouldn't match my pocket square to my tie: it's boring. There's only so many pieces of a man's outfit; why duplicate any of them when you can complement?

pink gingham dress shirt...need a tie.

Pink gingham says "casual" and navy suit says "formal" to me, so I wouldn't wear them together. But that's me. For colors, I'd try yellow or green (especially pastels). Purple might get too "in between" the pink and navy, but it would depend on the tie. For pattern, I'd skip stripes and...

Caveat Emptor - Worst Clothing Investments/Options

To go with the original thrust of the thread... Black & brown shoes - I have owned two pairs of casual loafers that were black leather with brown leather accents. I never wore them because if the outfit called for one color, it seemed strange to have the other involved.
