    Anyone own a Baracuta G9 ?

You can get lower cost alternatives from the UK companies linked below. I have gotten comments from two people in the UK who I trust on this stuff (one a former Mod) and both brands are apparently decent and reasonable value, and have all the details. Are they Barracuta? No...

What is the point of these drawstrings? They don't stay tight!

Those appear to be over-designed. The push toggles remain the best way to adjust drawstrings. This thread reminds me that I need to get some of those for a used jacket I bought a while back!

Much has changed. I was listening to a finance podcast a few weeks back and the hosts took some cheap shots at men wearing contrast collar shirts and Gucci loafers and implied no one dresses like that anymore, haha

How to wear a polo coat (photos)...

Here's a video that mashes together a bunch of scenes of Alain Delon in the film "Indian Summer." The polo coat he wears in the film gets a lot of screen time in this video. Worth a viewing (4 min duration).

That lawyer is wearing Brooks Brothers older version of their single-breasted polo coat, in camel hair, which they sold alongside their double-breasted model. I have the double-breasted version. I have a bunch of 15+ year old catalogues and both models are shown in them, plus I have images I...

How to wear a polo coat (photos)...

^ / ^^ For what it's worth, from my days trawling e-bay for stuff like this I never saw a single-breasted polo coat with a half-belt at the back, always plain, irrespective of recent or vintage.

    grooming Haircuts- - how often?

Same here. Stated doing it myself out of necessity, now, the most recent self-trim, turned out really well. I might not ever go to a barber again.

Are men's dressing gowns in vogue today ?

An alternative (or parallel) interpretation is that in that time period most men, even middle class men, would have had only a handful or even just one proper "coat" and would have taken it off to avoid damaging it, or, since convenient dry cleaning was not available, to avoid getting it dirty...

    Someone knows "Oak House" pseudo-Barbours

Barbour at some point cornered the cultural market for waxed clothing, but when I was in the UK a couple times in the mid-1990s you could buy waxed jackets quite cheaply and in all sorts of stores. Sure, they weren't Barbour, they were lesser no-name brands, but they kept the rain off and had...

What's the maximum amount you can "take in" trouser size

Unless your job/career requires a lot of business-level dressing up, then I'd say forget the 2-piece suits and stick with odd jackets and odd trousers. These days if you both both very carefully you can put together a really great looking & visually interesting, but also very dressy, look...

    President Kennedy's Shirts

Here's a colour version of the forensic photos of JFK's shirt (or maybe Connally?). Click for larger version. Again, if you're squeamish don't click. If you look closely, it appears two have alternating lighter and darker stripes. I don't trust the colour repro on these old photos, fwiw. EDIT...
