Thank you so much for the information, John.

May I know if you currently have your Internet services with Comcast?
John_(Mon Sep 20 12:33:28 EDT 2010)>
No, we are cable customers only.
Geraldine(Mon Sep 20 12:34:52 EDT 2010)>
I see. Would you want to add internet in your account? You can have an affordable internet package so that you can still use your email and it will not be suspended or deleted. Since it will be deleted if we are not able to transfer it to an active account.
John_(Mon Sep 20 12:36:10 EDT 2010)>
I wonder if Verozon will cut me off if I don't become a FIOS subscriber??
Geraldine(Mon Sep 20 12:37:24 EDT 2010)>
I am not sure about that but with Comcast, you can cancel your internet service and still have phone connected. Do you know someone who has internet service with us so that we can transfer your emails to their account and still continue using it?
Geraldine(Mon Sep 20 12:39:16 EDT 2010)>
John?
John_(Mon Sep 20 12:39:19 EDT 2010)>
No,
Geraldine(Mon Sep 20 12:39:56 EDT 2010)>
I see. I would suggest, you subscribe to Comcast internet so that we can transfer your email to an active account.
Geraldine(Mon Sep 20 12:40:20 EDT 2010)>
You may ask Verizon about their terms on their internet and phone services.
John_(Mon Sep 20 12:40:59 EDT 2010)>
I will archieve my e-mail in anticipation of you terminating my email account and shop for a TV entertainment provider as well. I am disappointed with your sales tactics.
Geraldine(Mon Sep 20 12:42:11 EDT 2010)>
I am sorry to know that. You can use this link to transfer important information from your Comcast to third party email: https://trueswitch.com/comcast/.
Geraldine(Mon Sep 20 12:42:54 EDT 2010)>
Do you have any other concerns for today aside from your previous issue that I can best assist you with?
John_(Mon Sep 20 12:43:04 EDT 2010)>
That's enough.

We used to have Cox cable, but switched to FIOS a few years ago and never looked back. I feel your pain :)

Unless I've misunderstood, he apparently wants a Comcast e-mail account without having Comcast as his ISP. Will Verizon give me an e-mail account without having a Verizon Internet service? Otherwise, I think you're comparing apples to oranges.

I wasn't speaking on Comcast specifically, because I've never used their service. I was just commenting on having equal customer service problems with Cox Cable. In terms of service and meeting my expectations, Verizon is much better.

Are any of you enjoying one of those 'triple service' package plans, phone cable, Internet, for one price? If so, has yours been a positive experience?

Time Warrner... We have cable, phone, internet. No serious problems to report. Package deal with lots of chanels for $99. Where they get you is HD receivers and DVRs, also taxes. Our $99 package costs almost $200/month..

That's just why I suggested it to Comcast. Verizon is my ISP/phone and wireless and Comcast is for cable TV.

Why do they want me calling Verizon/Fios to find out??

Why not keep the e-mail open so they can try and up-sell me that way instead of being sneaky; inviting me to "check my account??"

But the worst part is the phoney smarmyness of lines like Remaining committed and focused on my goal which is to provide quality customer service on my fullest effort will always be my top priority.

GAG!!
