I like products from the Saphir brand. I use the Beauté du Cuir Crème Surfine cream polishes, the Beauté du Cuir Crème Rénovatrice recolorants (to fill in scratches and to color sole and heel edges) and (occasionally) the Beauté du Cuir Pâte de Luxe wax polishes.
My shoe maintenance kit consists of a fairly extensive assemblage of shoe polish, waxes and conditioners (most of which is Kiwi, AE creams, Bickmore conditioners, etc), a half dozen or so horsehair brushes, a collection of old 100% cotton T-shirts and a couple pair of the wifes old silk stockings/nylons, all stored in a handsomely finished Gerstner Wooden Chest. A more personal approach , but also a more useful one to insure I have everything I need.
There are multiple UK shoe seller sites offering wooden boxes containing kits at roughly similar price points. If you hunt around you will likely find that the boxes concerned can also be bought by themselves from various vendors, so after that it's a question of working out which site is offering the best overall price for the box plus the contents...
I wanted an unbranded box, and Saphir contents. That steered me a bit. Can't actually recall who I went with but it has been a reasonably good purchase.
If I am honest I would be happy with a less prestigious brand than Saphir, were I buying again. I don't think they are that much better, for the money.
