TK167:

Took your advice. Found the pan and SOS pad(ed) the heck out of it. Put veg. oil all over the pan and after wiping it off lightly covered it in some of the same paper towels that I used to oil it.

Will give it another chance tomorrow. Forgot to mention that I used it once, and then the second time I used it to cook a steak on the range at high heat and the pan burst into flames! 🔥🧯 And then it rusted!

Very best of luck! If you just use it with a bit of oil, fat, or butter, soak it in water (no soap) after use, scrub it with a nylon scrubby or chain mail scrubber, rinse it, and dry it on a burner it will just get better. I got stymied by the 420 character limit. Email is [email protected]

With very few exceptions you buy the size that fits your largest dimension. It is much easier to reduce than to let out. (In shirts there is virtually no shoulder outlet,)
In your 16 1/2 shirts do the shoulders still fit? If they do you can reduce the body.

I keep each Grenadine and knit in a plastic sleeve, which requires a 30" area/drawer in which to lay the tie. When I ship a tie it is in a plastic sleeve.
If you do not have a 30" area you can fold the sleeved tie in half.

It is significantly easier to take in then to let out. Order to fit your largest dimension.
Their site says you cannot return MTO products.
They are "off shore" - what is cost of shipping? If you return an item for credit you are responsible for shipping in both directions.

Thanks. I should probably send my detailed measurements, including seat & thigh, and see what they think. Yeossal is in Singapore, so shipping will not be trivial, but I've ordered from them before and found them pretty responsive and generally high quality. I also have a good tailor here, so as long as we're not taking them (or let out) in so much as to ruin the lines he can probably make it work.
Unlikely but possible. If you see an Extra long suit in your size, send them your measurements and see what they say.
Don't buy from anyone who won't allow you to return it.

In this day and age don't be concerned with a "code". Be familiar with the mode in your social circle and work environment.

I mean…that makes sense, but when I say “formal,” I’d like to know what is meant by that.

Today "formal" means different things to different groups. Strictly speaking "formal" means tails. Through the years, I have more than 80 in the rear view mirror, I have received invites that said "formal" and if I had worn tails I would have been the only individual so attired.
Do you mean when you are wearing the trousers you see the difference? Or do you mean when you lay them down and measure them there is a difference? Most individuals have slight differences in their hips which require different out-seam measurements.

Hi,
For a non-fluoride (or related) non-stick pan, I really recommend Swiss Diamond. They impregnate their pans with industrial diamond and it works a treat. And their crepe or 'breakfast' pan is ingenious. I can whip out a dozen crepes in jig time and they come out perfectly.

I’ve used Swiss Diamond in the past and liked it. I’ve been thinking of a crepe pan, so I may give it a whirl. Thanks for the tip!

You're still in New York, right? When we were looking into your Forum access problem I noticed that your location preference had changed to out of the country. ??

Thanks I appreciate being on here for nearly 16 years. :)
My Grenadines are Fina. Blunt cutting is a less costly mode of shortening. When properly done it is of no concern.
One can put the narrow end through the label and pin it to your shirt with a safety pin - no one can see it.

I am no longer accepting new customers. I have more than 80 in the rear view mirror. The man who designed our individual patterns and cut the garments has more than 90 .
I do have someone I can recommend who can deliver MTM in the same style that was my signature.
If you would like his information, give me a call.

The rule in fit is "fit the largest part" and then make the other adjustments. A skilled tailor can tell you what the limitations are. You can give John a call at Mid City Tailoring . He will not be able to tell you anything without seeing a garment on you.

Thank you very much, this makes sense , I contact them now waiting for their reply
There are broad ranges in what one gets when purchasing MTM. When we made MTM my designer created a pattern and cut the garment. It was then sent to the factory for assembly. If your local man is doing that, you should end up with a satisfactory jacket.
When you are looking for ties, I invite you to visit my site - www.chippneckwear.
