Are there any good traditional blogs out there that actually focus on clothing?

Thanks. I didn't realize Billax still had an internet presence. I never thought about Pinterest until Gamma brought it up, tbh. Other than a handful of forums, I have not really explored social media until very recently. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

An issue I keep running up against is that I only ever managed to make dark blue ties work with pink shirts. I find dark blue ties with a navy blazer to feel very wintry, even with the pink shirt. I'm trying to figure out how to summer it up without looking too much like an easter egg.

Are there any good traditional blogs out there that actually focus on clothing?

Yeah, I've actually been lurking around the fashion side and even styleforum for a little while. The silhouettes (especially on SF) are not for me, but there is some nice color play. I sprung for the Esquire archives and there is a lot of nice stuff there. For the life of me, though, I can't...

Are there any good traditional blogs out there that actually focus on clothing?

Yeah, I'm looking for photos of men in clothing. For example, I'm having a hard time matching a tie to a navy blazer and a pale pink shirt. I would love to be able to find something that just had lot's of combos of navy blazers and pink shirts so I could find an idea for a tie I might like...

Any time. I don't fault you in any way. I think for someone who is a hobbyist and not a full time blogger, you make plenty of content. In fact, if you ever moved to the full time sphere, I would be happy to be your first paying subscriber. I actually have never looked at put this on or die...

OCBD's blog is excellent, but he doesn't update that frequently. Ivy Style has long since devolved into some combination of internet drama and juvenile politics. Anything out there worth reading? Pictures are a real plus. I'm especially looking for articles on how to wear certain items...

Baby Needs a Blue Pair of Shoes!

Navy suede loafers seem to me to be one of the truly quintessential summer shoes. Nothing looks better with a seersucker suit. I have a pair of unlined navy suede Bruno Magli tassels that are just so comfortable in the heat. I also have a pair of Gucci loafers in cerulean pebble grain leather...

Eagle, that suit looks fantastic. O'Connell's? I also really like the combo of striped shirt with the green base tie. I may have to try that myself.

Westchester native Nick Kroll appears to own a button down collar shirt and even wore it with a skinny tie. So Mad Men!

Plaque buckle for straps wider than one inch?

Sorry, I misread your post and thought you were looking for a Tiffany-style compression buckle. If you are looking for a buckle to use with straps that have holes, just order this belt from Brooks Brothers. You can remove the strap that comes with it and use it with any of your straps...

    What Are You Wearing Today?

Always a pleasure, sir. I am humbled to hear that a you have learned anything from me, as I have always considered you one of the elder sages of the forum. Has Florida given you any new footwear opportunities? Seems like a good opportunity to trade in the shell for gator. Sent from my...

    What Are You Wearing Today?

If you're interested in a summer weight jacket, they do a really nice job with a minimally constructed, french faced jacket. It has enough structure in the shoulder and chest to keep it from looking like a shirt-jac, but it's really easy to wear. This is the one I had made two years ago (post...

    What Are You Wearing Today?

I've done one mtm jacket and one mtm suit through empire and they have worked well for me. I doubt that the quality is better than Jack Victor. They both do half canvas construction and are generally machine made. Empire is really good at creating a natural shoulder silhouette, so if you like...

Fiscal Dean, Upr and Howard -- thanks for the kind words. Sorry for the late response. I don't make it here that frequently anymore. It is MTM by a tailor named Earle Bannister, who works out of a local barbershop/clothing store/cigar shop/bar/spa called Quintessential Gentleman. He also...

    Peter Christian Vs O'Connell's

PC's trousers have expanding waists, which feel a little too Boca Raton for me, if you get my drift. PC does have a nice selection of colors, though. Orvis has nicely tailored trousers made from Brisbane Moss moleskin for about $150. You can frequently find a coupon that will bring the price...

    What Are You Wearing Today?

I never really liked the way my old Hardwick tux fit, so I decided to upgrade to a custom job from my tailor. I opted for a double breasted jacket in midnight blue. I was a little worried the color would look too gaudy, but once we arrived at the wedding, I was pleasantly surprised by how...
