Im curious if you guys can help me out with this.
I want to change the color of lettering of Prada to white. The material seems to be rubber. Is it possible to paint this really clean?
Zoom in the pic to see the bevels. Very tight space.

I might consider changing the color of black strip on the tongue where Prada is. It seems to be enamel coating on rubber. Can this also be painted clean?

You can do the first, but probably not the second. It helps that the tongue letters are in relief. Use a very tiny brush, a quarter inch wide, no more. Acrylic paint, either matte or gloss. Both available at WM for under $2. Use the brush very dry, meaning after dipping gingerly blot lightly once on napkin, then brush once or twice across each letter. Black will show thru. Let dry for c. 1/2 hour and do again, less black shows thru. Three to four coats should do it. For the record, I'm not into Prada, but I can understand why someone who is would want to do this. Sigh.

I suppose it’s a silly question to ask given the entire premise, but I’ll ask nonetheless; why?

Are you kidding us? Not meaning to come off sounding snarky, but I believe before expending my life energy on completing something quite so vacuous, I would try mightily to find something more meaningful in life to occupy my attention and excite action on my part!

Eagle's response confounds. Especially since he's won the Mr. Congeniality award every year he's been here.

Men all around me up here spend countless time doing odd and garish things to their pick-ups, spending Sunday hours glued to football, planting a fat ass on a garden tractor to mow a mile of lawn they don't need.

So guy wants to put his Prada's in neon lights for all to see. And I aided and abetted him, around 3 a.m. Because I was doing something similar at the time, with paint and brush, olive and black, converting wing tips to camo colors but without the camo, a spectator of sorts, coming soon to a post near you.

Sorry. The wife hadn't made breakfast yet and I was hungry. Hungry = cranky! I've been fed now and what the OP's planning to do sounds absolutely wonderful! ;)

Well if you are a fan of prada, then you would know that one of their iconic images is red stripe with white prada letters on top. Usually on the tongue and bottom sole near heel area.
I wanted to have somewhat of that. At least white letters on tongue.

You can say polishing a shoe is a complete waste of time. I know people who are. You can pay a few bucks to get it shined. I polish mine btw.
Some people appreciate custom pieces more than whatever you get on the shelve. If i like something and something looks off or can make it better then i change it.
Perhaps what should be meaningful need to be clarified.

@Peak and Pine whats the best way to clean up area where i might accidentally paint white?

Fast. Really fast. Which means you will have the means to do so at the ready before you begin. A very small dampened piece of cloth. Or a small piece of dampened cellulose sponge (cut from a larger sponge).

Go very slow when painting. Semi-dry brush giving a thin see-through coat ar first, then another and another at 1 /2 hour intervals should give a good, solid white. To ensure paint goes only on the letters, hold a buffer, like an index card, up against the letter at the point where you're brushing. Then move the card to where each new stroke will be. You can do it this way because the letters are raised, giving an edge against which to place the buffer.
