I've had conversations with my brother (who lives/works in SF) about clothing, as I was concerned by the casualness of his wardrobe. He insisted that what he wore was completely normal out there. I guess he was right.
Yes he was.

It's very normal attire in hipster clusters. It was everywhere in Asheville. It's one of the reasons we had to leave.

I don't know what you guys' problem with these youngsters. It seems to be the dress code at their workplace. Why stand out by wearing anything else. Go to any Wall Street establishment and you'll see lots of grey or navy suits.
I liked the comments though: "lumbersexual" and "well plaid" :biggrin:

BTW it appears when I first started wearing 501s, we were all wearing selvedge. Who knew :icon_scratch:
