Nearly any Ray-Ban, Persol, or Randolf would do the trick unless I misunderstand what you are looking for. No one, and I mean no one, is going to notice that arrow on the Persol temples. Have worn them for years and would have heard by now.

^^(submitted in response to post#11) I can't say that...
I've ever wanted a pair of Wayfarers as badly as I do, having seen those! ;)

Seriously, we should have fun with our wardrobe accessories.

Sober is an issue of opinion. I consider the glasses I wear, Ray Ban 4147 with polarized lenses, sober. I bought them by trying on multiple glasses and purchased the pair I found close to optimal in function and how I felt they complimented my appearance.

I've noted an extreme variability in how different individuals look in the same glasses. So if one is interested in their appearance, I suggest try-on's among multiple pairs to see which particular models are most flattering.

Why are wayfarers not considered sober? Just curious.
I have two pair of Rayban Wayfarers: the first is basic black with (IIRC) green lens-very sober. The second pair (bought for me by SWMBO) are red on the outside, cream inside, with mirror lens. Definitely not sober, and as brand new, because I do not wear them (or like them).
