What do you wear Pebble grain wingtips with?

That's a toughie. I think of pebble grain as a country shoe, but black doesn't play well with such clothing. For pebble grain, I'd choose brown over black.

That said, I can see black pebble grains working well with jeans. Or you could forget they're pebble grain and pair them with casual outfits you'd wear any other black shoes with. I wouldn't wear them with suit and tie, for example, but you might try gray slacks and an open-collared buttonup.

That's a tough one. Pebble grain would look better in brown with plain toe configuration. Since I sense you already own the shoe (I hope it's a blucher, not a balmoral), I would wear it with gray flannel and darker colored cordoroy pants. I would not wear them with suits.

P.S.
DocHolliday, please excuse my apparent plagiarism, you were just faster on the keybord.

i actually have a pair of black, pebble grained calf, wingtip oxfords.
they are by sergio rossi and i will post a picture soon
i actually wear them with suits and dressed up outfits as the shape is sleek although a squared off toe, i usually differentiate what is dress or casual shoes based on the shape and style, not by the texture or color of leather.

Nope, I was considering these Vass:

But I had a feeling it was a bit an odd mix being both black and pebble grain.

I didn't try for them in the end due to the above, the terrible photo provided, plus I sent the seller some questions and never heard back.

You are right, that is a terrible photo. It looks like the tips are made of calfskin and the rest of the uppers is some exotic leather (or is pebble grain - really hard to tell).

I have a (when purchased) pair of NOS J&M Aristocraft black pebble grain wings that are bals, no less! Vintage late-50's or early-60's. They're quirky, but they're very cool, offbeat (but not weird) shoes I love wearing with gray odd trousers or casual suits (I have a gorgeous gray/blue and charcoal birdseye Golden Fleece that is just killer with these shoes). This combination in one shoe may sound incongruous to some, but it can be a wonderful and different addition to any shoe collection already complete with the basics.
